I use psychoanalytic techniques to help people with change. Positive change is something we all want, yet many of us grapple with exactly how to create it. I have over 20 years experience working with couples, individuals and groups. I help people identify roadblocks to fulfillment, then together we create strategies they can use to transform their lives.
As a therapist, my approach to psychotherapy is solution-focused, psychoanalytic and psycho-dynamic. My style is collaborative, flexible, and interactive. My training includes psychoanalytic and cognitive behavioral therapies, with specific training in substance abuse, codependency, and 12-step modalities. I have additional training in relationship coaching, life coaching and anxiety. My expertise also includes emotional intelligence, conflict management, team-building, work-life integration and cultural diversity.
Culture plays a big part in it too. My clients begin to feel empowered when they come to understand their growth opportunities by learning the language of diversity and inclusion, understanding their environments through the lenses of Race, Class, Culture, Gender and Ethnicity and its impact on their personal and professional development.
